Glyndwr's
Way - Accommodation booking and luggage service
The
135
mile walk is the most recent of the National Trails. It starts at Knighton
on the English border, crosses the Mid Wales hills to Machynlleth in the
West before looping back to finish in Welshpool back near the English Welsh
border. Glyndwr's
Way is named after Owain Glyndwr, a legendary Welsh nobleman who led a
successful revolt against English domination in 1401.

The
National Trail is a walk through beautiful remote areas, and is suitable for
more experienced walkers. It is an ideal walk for those wanting to get away
from the crowds and experience solitude. You will not meet many other
walkers! The trail passes over moorland, rolling farmland, woodlands
and forest areas with fabulous countryside and views over to the mountains
of Snowdonia including Cader Idris.
Highlights of the Path include attractive
towns of Knighton, Machynlleth and Llanidloes, Powis Castle, many lakes
including Lake Vyrnwy as well as the wild and remote countryside.
There is abundant wildlife including buzzards and red kites. The route is fully waymarked.

Tell us how far you want to walk, whether you want a rest day and any other
particular requirements. We help you plan the stages, make b & b
bookings, pay b & b's, make arrangements for packed lunches and evening meals (in more
remote areas) and arrange the transfer your
luggage. Accommodation has been carefully selected in farms, guest houses
and pubs and all welcome walkers. Most rooms have en suite or private
bathrooms (occasionally in more remote areas like on Glyndwr's Way this isn’t possible).
