Wild Edric's Way

5 nights - MODERATE

Wild Edric was a Saxon nobleman with a great deal of land in the Clun and Stokesay areas at the time of the Norman Conquest. Wild Edric's Way explores this interesting and unspoilt part of Shropshire. The trail is 49 miles and follows part of the Shropshire Way from Church Stretton to Ludlow. From Church Stretton Wild Edric’s Way crosses the Long Mynd to the Stiperstones. From here the trail passes through Bishop’s Castle, and then follows a section of Offa’s Dyke to Clun and on past Stokesay Castle to Ludlow.
