Shropshire Way - Church Stretton to Ludlow

This
holiday used to be Wild Edric’s Way. Now the Shropshire Way improvements
include a loop from Church Stretton, so this holiday now follows the

in Church Stretton (85 miles), or the 52 mile section from Church Stretton
to Ludlow.

From Church
Stretton, cross the Long Mynd to the Stiperstones, past Devils Chair and
through the market town of Bishop’s Castle. From here the trail
passes through the attractive market town of Bishop’s Castle. From here
the route follows a section of Offa’s
Dyke to Clun and on past Bury Ditches Iron Age Hill Fort to Craven Arms.
Pass Stokesay Castle, a fortified Manor House and
on to Ludlow. The full walk heads over Wenlock Edge and back to Church
Stretton. Walking
distances are 10 - 12 miles, (there is one short day of 7 miles). We can
tailor the walk to suit - please contact us with your requirements..
