The North Wales Coastal Path is 90 miles long and runs from Caernarfon, alongside the Menai Strait with views over to Anglesey, through the lovely coastal villages and towns of North Wales, along the Dee estuary, to the roman city of Chester on the welsh border. There is abundant birdlife along the salt marshes of the Dee estuary, lovely sandy beaches and easy walking. There are a couple of inland more hilly alternative routes, from Conwy to Lllanfairfechan and near Ffynnongroyw just outside Prestatyn.
Highlights of the North Wales Coastal Path include towns of Conwy with its castle, narrow streets and independent shops, the victorian seaside town of Llandudno with its pier and the Great Orme, and Caernarfon, with its imposing Castle.
The walk can start either in Caernarfon or Chester and the route is fully waymarked with the Wales Coastal Path logo making it easy to follow.

Walker Friendly Accommodation
The walker friendly accommodation we choose is all different, all comfortable and offer a warm welcome for walkers. Byways Breaks know the North Wales Coast area well, and visit all the walker friendly accommodation we use. Over the years we have carefully selected a range of good quality walker accommodation, including; farmhouses, guest houses, pubs and hotels. Almost all rooms chosen have en-suite or private bathrooms (although very occasionally in more remote areas this isn't possible).
Byways Breaks will also arrange for packed lunches or book evening meals you wish to order (you pay the B&Bs direct for these on arrival).

Luggage Transfer Only
For walkers preferring to organise their own walking holidays and making their own accommodation arrangements, Byways Breaks can arrange luggage transfer along Offas Dyke, Glyndwr's Way, Ribble Way, Anglesey Coast Path, Pembrokeshire Coast Path, North Wales Coast Path and the Shropshire Way. Allowing you the chance to enjoy your walking holiday without the hassle of carrying or moving your luggage. Help and Support
Full support including collection from stations and emergency back up, is not included in this service, however, Byways Breaks are on the end of the phone from 8.30am - 6.30pm each day should you have any problems with your accommodation bookings or luggage transfer during your walking holiday. We will also always try to help wherever we can with any other queries or problems you may have.
