This time we used the OS tracking app and we noticed the switchback days were longer – but in a lot of walking mags there have been comments about distances on national trails being longer now that trackers are used.

General comments on the walk itself – A strenuous walk particularly on the switchback, Knighton to Mellington day, so our days were long so pick ups were too early for us. We would recommend early starts. Although it was a tough walk (and a break in the middle was a good choice) we were pleased to meet the challenge and the views were stunning! BB
