See the Shropshire Way website for full details of the trail.  Shropshire Way.

The Shropshire Way includes bracing hill sections in the rugged Shropshire Hills and Long Mynd as well as gentler, pastoral walking in the valleys. The South Shropshire Way visits Shrewsbury, Bishop’s Castle, Clun, Craven Arms, Ludlow, the Clee Hills, Wenlock Edge, the World Heritage Site at Ironbridge.  Historical highlights of the walk include Stokesay and Ludlow Castles, Ironbridge Gorge Museum, Wenlock Priory and Bury Ditches hill fort.

The northern section of the Shropshire Way provides a contrast to the Shropshire Hills and takes you along the canals, and past the meres and mosses of this area. The Shropshire Mosses Nature Reserve is an important area for birdlife and rare plants. Visit the pretty town of Ellesmere on the Shropshire Union Canal and detour to the market town of Oswestry.
